Free Hit Counters
- SuperStats - Nice stats service that allows you to see how many people have visited your Web page, how they found your site, what time of day they visited, and more. In return, they display a banner on your page that is 400 by 40 pixels. It's easy to set up; just cut & paste 2 lines of HTML to your page.
- Siteflow Free Counters - Fast-growing free counter site that offers several options, such as ignoring your own hits to your site, as well as making your counter invisible. Setting up the counter is a straightforward two-part process. The free service is available only to sites that get no more than 500 hits a day. They also limit you to one counter per site.
- Aaddzz free Access Counters and Trackers - Service that provides counters with hundreds of cool font styles. This service's counters and trackers are easy to set up. Aaddzz also provides free reports about accesses and visitors to pages. You may use Aaddzz to add up to five counters and five trackers to your Web pages.
- Freestats - Nice stats program that offers lots of useful data. Besides telling you how many hits your page is getting, it will tell you how many unique visitors your page gets every day/month and shows you who they were. It also tells you such
useful info as how many unique visitors you got, what countries they came from and more.
- WebSide Story- - Not strictly a free counter service, but it serves that purpose well. You sign up whatever pages you want and then they'll be ranked by hits in the category of your choice. You can then view that page's stats and get such useful information such as forecasts on how many hits you can expect that day. This cool service is also useful for getting more hits, as other surfers who browse the list will click in from time to time.
- Free Web Page Hit Counter - A free counter that allows you to count the hits on all your
pages, view counts on all pages at the same
time & view counts without viewing the page and
incrementing the count.
- NedStat (English version) - Outstanding free counter with all kinds of detailed stats, including what page referred your visitors to you---a feature that I believe makes NedStat unique among free trackers. NedStat also offers a version in Dutch.
- WebTracker - This major free service offers a number of goodies. You get data on what browser your visitors are using, the operating system they're running, and you can tell if they're repeat visitors. You can also find out what days of the week are hot and find out what time of the day visitors come to your site. WebTracker data is updated in real-time. There is never the need to wait for a log file update; view your stats whenever you want to. Note: WebTracker has reported problems with their service with the Internet Explorer browser, version 4.
- Web Pal Counter - WebPal generates hourly, daily and monthly reports. Each report contains accesses, browsers and hosts statistics. Not free, but a trial period available.
- Free Web Counter - Fill out a survey and get a free easy-to-use counter. Nice.
- WatchWise - This service isn't free, but they offer a 7-day no obligation trial offer. WatchWise builds and maintains an historical utilization and performance database for your Web site, and generates a comprehensive set of management and technical reports and graphs.
- HTML access counter - An easy to set up page counter.
- Crazy Counter - A joke page counter, available in both Java and animated GIF versions.
- The Museum of Counter Art - Tired of the same lame-looking counter on your page? Check out this site which has 500 sets of free counter artwork for anyone to use. The counter sets can be used with most any counter CGI scripts, across all platforms. Counter art is displayed in the various exhibit rooms of the museum based on its particular look or style.
- Page Count - Counter service with good & bad news. The good---it provides lots of stats: How many people viewed your page; a breakdown of page views by date, day, and time; a list of where the requests for your page originated; the hostnames of the visitors! (up to 100 max) and unlimited hits. The bad news is you have to display their banner.
- Site-Stats - Here's the deal: you give them space for a billboard; they provide you with counter stats.
- LBInet free counter service - A good basic counter. Just go to the site, fill out a form and they'll E-mail the
HTML you need to put on your page. They claim a 99.98 percent reliability rate. No X-rated sites allowed.
- Dyno Counter - Just cut & paste some code and Viola! you've got a counter. You can have as many counters as you want as long
as the content on your site is free.
- Infinitek Counter - Fill out a form; get a cool looking counter (there's only one design choice, however).
- ClaimItFor - A Web site statistical program that gives the total number of times the page was requested, the total number of days of tracking, average requests per day, total requests per day of the week, total requests per hour of the day, total requests from top level domains, listing of all domains, list of the last 20 visitors. Whew!
- JCount - JCount is a set of animated web page access counters that are available as free access counters. Although they are Java-based, they include a backup counter for those users who do not have Java support. You can choose from a selection of different digit types or change the number displayed at any time you choose by using a simple configuration screen. Paid subscription service available, too.
